To start with I am a little concerned that you are wanting to get back with your ex while you are involved in another relationship. That to me speaks volumes about your ability to make a commitment.
I hate to be so frank but if you were truly in love with either person you wouldn't be having sex with both of them. Unless you are so insecure that you feel that you have to have a man to be happy.

From my experience, if you already have been on and off and its ONLY been a year and a half, then i suggest you not get back with him. The relationship seems like its been rough and their was doubts so getting back with him may last for several months but you will problee end up back at square one.
